IIn the last five years I have been focussing on IT, legal, business, PR and fashion subjects.
Among my recent assignments have been: 1. Translating IT-briefing and marketing material with focus on Web applications, carrier networks and enterprise networks solutions 2. Ongoing translation of the complete company communications of an international sports brand 3. Translation of legal documents, e.g. contracts, license agreements etc. from English and Italian into German. 4. Fashion/marketing texts from Italian into German
Qualifications
Originally, I have professional background as a bank accountant (Banklehre) and an accademic background as a holder of the German bar examination (2. juristisches Staatsexamen). Ich grew up in Italy (hence the Italian) and have for many years lived and worked in English speaking countries.
Experience
I have been working in the translation field since 1985, in the early years mostly on travel subjects. I was an early adopter of IT and desktop publishing technology (as early as 1988) and I have acquired a lot of experience as a packager publisher and editor of travel, lifestyle, self-help, parenting and psychology books. In the last years I am concentrating again on translations and editing in my specialist fields (see above): My source languages are English, French, Italian, my target language German. My translations into German are professional and of 100% top quality, I always receive excellent feedback. This is due to the fact that I have a comprehensive knowledge of my subjects and an extensive translation experience.
